Celtic are interested in signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, Page 61, April 23, 2017).

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Sancho is being watched by Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

Premier League and North London club Arsenal are also claimed to be interested in the 17-year-old left-winger.

Advantage Celtic?

According to a report in The Daily Mail in March, City were going to hand Sancho a new three-year contract and a pay rise.

It was reported that the Citizens do not want to lose the teenager as they believe that he will be their next big English superstar.

Celtic, though, could make a loan move for the youngster in the summer transfer window. Given that Sancho is only 17 years of age, he is not going to break into Pep Guardiola’s team anytime soon.

While Arsenal are a bigger club than Celtic, the youngster is not going to play first-team football at the Emirates Stadium; he could at least stand a chance of doing so at Celtic Park.
