Celtic already fancy signing Sligo Rovers striker Johnny Kenny in the January transfer window and will scout him this week.
That’s according to The Irish Independent, who report that Kenny has landed himself on Celtic’s radar for the winter transfer window.
We know what you’re thinking – the summer transfer window ended less than 48 hours ago, leave it out!
But the process of identifying and recruiting players never really stops, and it’s impressive that Celtic already have one large tin mind.
Celtic scouts will watch Kenny in action for Sligo Rovers against Drogheda United on Friday and a move in January could take place.
Kenny, 18, has shown real potential in Sligo’s first team and already has six goals and two assists for the League of Ireland side.
The teenager attempted to claim a hat-trick against Bohemians in June, though one goal has now gone down as an own goal, and he also bagged against Icelandic side FH in the Europa Conference League.

There is another reason for Celtic’s planned trip to scout Drogheda v Sligo, as they also fancy signing Drogheda midfielder Kilian Phillips.
The 19-year-old is another teenage talent emerging in Ireland, though the report claims that his future is likely to be as a central defender.
Celtic just raided the Irish market in order to sign Shamrock Rovers defender Liam Scales, and are seemingly eyeing up two other moves as their 2022 plans begin.
