According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic hope to have Motherwell playmaker David Turnbull signed up inside the next 48 hours.
It’s claimed that Celtic are still in talks with Motherwell about a deal, with a fee still yet to be agreed.
However, talks are expected to be moved forward today, and Celtic hope to have the deal completed before they face Ferencvaros on Wednesday.
Turnbull isn’t on Celtic’s squad list, so he won’t be playing in that game, but it would mean that he misses Motherwell’s Europa League clash with Glentoran on Thursday.
A Celtic debut could arrive on Sunday, which ironically is against Motherwell in what could be a strange twist of fate.
Celtic had a deal lined up for Turnbull last summer, only to find a knee issue in his medical which kept him out of action for most of last season.

The 21-year-old – who smashed 16 goals and seven assists in the 2018-19 season – could finally land his dream move to Parkhead, which could cost around £3million.
Turnbull would be following Vasilis Barkas and Albian Ajeti in signing for the Bhoys in permanent deals this summer, and whether it’s in the next 48 hours or not, it looks like Celtic will finally land their man.
