Ramirez remains way down the pecking order at Everton.

Spanish outlet La Voz De Galicia claim Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo are interested in ending Sandro Ramirez’s Everton nightmare by bringing the striker back to Spain before August 31.

Ramirez, 23, has failed to feature for Everton this season with the Toffees preferring to use Cenk Tosun, Dom Calvert-Lewin and Oumar Niasse – leaving little room for the Spaniard to prove his worth.

Signed by Ronald Koeman from Malaga, Ramirez managed just one goal in 15 games for Everton before being loaned back to Spain with Sevilla where he failed to score in 18 outings.

Despite his dismal form, Celta are interested in signing Ramirez and offering him an escape route from Goodison Park in a bid to provide competition for Maxi Gomez and Iago Aspas.

The purchase of Ramirez, which could be another loan or indeed a permanent move, would see Celta have to offload one of their current first-team stars with all 25 positions filled. That is expected to be forward Claudio Beauvue.

Ramirez, who was bought for a fee of around £5.4million according to the report – which equates to around £360,000 per Everton appearance – has a contract until the summer of 2021 at Everton but his future under Marco Silva on Merseyside is as good as over.
