According to Brescia Sport, Brescia owner Massimo Cellino is in London to negotiate the sale of goalkeeper Jesse Joronen.

It’s claimed that Cellino has travelled over to England to talk to potential suitors for Joronen, with Watford attempting to pull off a deal.

West Ham United are also thought to be pursuing Joronen, whilst Napoli are interested in signing him too.

Napoli have allegedly made contact with Cellino, but Watford are allegedly pushing to get a deal done with face-to-face talks with the Italian.

Just how this fits in with pandemic restrictions remains to be seen, and it honestly seems unlikely that West Ham will move for Joronen right now.

They have a proven first-choice stopper in Lukasz Fabianski, and they brought in Darren Randolph as cover in the January transfer window.

David Martin is still at the club too, so adding a fourth senior goalkeeper just shouldn’t be a priority for David Moyes and co right now.

Joronen, 27, joined Brescia from Copenhagen last summer, impressing despite Brescia’s relegation from Serie A.

He has already had one stint in London with Fulham, but heading to West Ham just doesn’t seem likely – even with these rumours coming from Italy.
