Arsenal are reportedly keen on Villarreal defender Pau Torres.

According to a report from 90Min, Arsenal have been tipped off about Villarreal defender Pau Torres – by Gunners cult hero Santi Cazorla.
Arsenal have a young defender arriving next summer, as William Saliba will begin his Gunners career having when his season-long loan deal with Saint-Etienne comes to an end.
Still, with David Luiz and Sokratis Papastathopoulos both in their 30’s, Arsenal may yet look for another young centre back to add to Saliba and Rob Holding, especially with Calum Chambers recently featuring at right back.
It’s now claimed that Arsenal are interested in snapping up Villarreal centre back Torres, having been recommended to them by his current teammate Cazorla.
Cazorla is of course and Arsenal cult hero, and it’s believed that he tipped Emery off about teammate Torres, seemingly looking to help his former club having been impressed with him.
Chelsea and Manchester City are also thought to be keen, meaning Arsenal are looking to beat their two Premier League rivals to a deal, which could cost up to €75million (£65.5million).

Torres, 22, stands at a giant 6ft 4in tall, and has impressed with his ability to play the ball out of defence, whilst his value as a left-footed centre back is clear.
After spending time on loan at Malaga last season, Torres is impressing for Villarreal, so much so that he was recently called up to the Spanish national team for the first time.
Torres is certainly a rookie, and really hasn’t played much top-level football for a 22-year-old Spain call-up, but his potential means Arsenal are now hoping to land him in 2020 – and they’d have Cazorla to thank if they do.
