According to Il Bianconero, Carlo Ancelotti wants Everton to sign Adrien Rabiot immediately ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Italian news outlet claim that Juventus have slapped a €30 million (£26 million) price tag on the 26-year-old’s head.
Along with Everton, Il Bianconero add that Barcelona are keen on the 14-cap France international as well.
However, in our view, the Toffees could have an advantage given Ancelotti’s history with the Saint-Maurice born midfielder.
It was Ancelotti who handed Rabiot his Ligue 1 debut for Paris Saint-Germain, when he was just 17 years of age.
The Italian also handed the Frenchman his Champions League debut at the same age, as well as his first appearance in the Coupe de France.

It would be an expensive transfer for the Toffees, but Rabiot definitely has the pedigree to justify it.
The Juventus No.25 is a six-time French champion, who has won the Serie A title on one occasion as well.
Additionally, he has a fair few caps for France, which speaks volumes given the quality they have in midfield.
For Rabiot to be selected among the likes of Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante and Tanguy Ndombele is telling of his quality.

So, what type of player is he on the pitch?
Well, within their report, Il Bianconero described Rabiot as convincing, strong and dynamic following a brilliant display against Napoli.
Everton already have a lot of midfielders, such as Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Andre Gomes, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies.
However, if signing Rabiot is a realistic option, Everton would be silly not to pursue it.
