According to ESPN, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign Adrien Rabiot from Juventus in the summer of 2021.
It has been reported that Ancelotti wants a midfielder who would be an upgrade on Andre Gomes, and Rabiot’s profile fits the criteria.
The Italian tactician worked with the 25-year-old central midfielder when he was at Paris Saint-Germain and has stayed in touch with the Juventus player ever since, according to the report.
Everton transfer makes sense?
Ancelotti promoted Rabiot to the first-team squad at PSG, and it seems that the former Chelsea boss rates the 25-year-old highly.
The France international is a very good central midfielder who could return to his best under the Italian.
The former PSG star has not had the best of times at Juventus, made 21 starts in Serie A last season and 12 starts in the league so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.

Worry for Andre Gomes?
Gomes has had injury problems at Everton and is not guaranteed a place in the Toffees’ starting lineup.
According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old Portugal international central midfielder has made nine starts and eights substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees so far this season, providing one assist in the process.
Rumour about Rabiot potentially moving to Everton in the summer of 2021 is a worry for Gomes.
