According to Corriere dello Sport, Carlo Ancelotti has said yes in regards to allowing Bernard to join Roma.
The Italian news outlet state that the Toffees boss has given the Brazilian his blessing to depart Goodison Park, with Robin Olsen possibly coming the other way permanently.
Corriere dello Sport say that Roma have proposed a swap deal for Bernard.
The move would see Olsen – who is on loan at Everton – join the Merseysiders on a permanent basis.
Roma hope that, by offering the Sweden international to Everton, they will reduce Bernard’s fee.

Corriere dello Sport say Everton roughly value the former Shakhtar Donetsk man at €10 million – €13 million (£9 million – £11.7 million).
In Roma’s case, they value Olsen at €6.5 million (£5.9 million), so the Serie A side hope that will reduce Bernard’s fee.
The 28-year-old – who earns £120,000-a-week – has only started two Premier League games this season.

On that basis, you can see why Ancelotti has given him his blessing to depart Goodison Park.
The arrival of James Rodriguez has negatively impacted the attacking midfielder’s playing time, which wasn’t great in the first place.
In that respect, it would be good for Everton to offload the diminutive playmaker and free up a significant chunk of their wage bill.
