Aston Villa are set to sell Carles Gil to Real Betis, providing the two clubs can agree on a price.
According to a report in Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo, Real Betis are very close to signing Carles Gil from Aston Villa.
Gil has been deemed to have no future at Villa by Steve Bruce, and is certain to move on this summer.
At first it seemed that the attacking midfielder was set to move to Deportivo La Coruna, but late interest from Betis has turned his head.

Gil is now said to be very excited by the possibility of leaving Villa Park to join up with Quique Setien’s side.
However, there is still a complication in any deal, as Villa are asking for a high price for the 24-year-old.
Villa are looking to raise funds for their own transfer plans, and feel that Gil’s sale could bolster the money available for Bruce to spend on new additions.

The claret and blues are believed to want £4 million for Gil, with a further £2 million worth of add-ons included.
And, at the moment, Betis are believed to feel that Villa have overpriced the Spanish play-maker.
A compromise is expected to met in the near future though, with Gil’s exit from Villa now looking inevitable.
