The Newcastle United winger could leave the club before the end of the transfer window.
Cardiff City are interested in signing Newcastle United youngster Yasin Ben El-Mhanni before the transfer window closes on Wednesday night.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the winger and his agent met with Cardiff manager Neil Warnock last week to discuss a possible move.
El-Mhanni joined Newcastle from non-league side Lewes in 2016 and has featured for the Magpies at U23 level this season, making six appearances in Premier League 2.
The 22-year-old is capable of playing on either flank or as an attacking midfielder and is capable of playing excellent passes, while he possesses flair in abundance.
According to the Daily Mail, El-Mhanni could leave Newcastle as he is unsatisfied with the situation surrounding the club’s U23 coach Peter Beardsley.
El-Mhanni complained about bullying and alleged racial discrimination by Beardsley, who has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation.
Last season El-Mhanni made two first-team appearances for Newcastle, both of which came in the FA Cup, but he has yet to feature at senior level this campaign and it seems rather likely that he may get more opportunities to impress if he goes elsewhere.
