Cardiff City are reportedly keen on signing the Watford hitman.
According to a report from the Sun, Cardiff are lining up a £15 million swoop for Watford captain Troy Deeney, as Neil Warnock looks to add more firepower to his attacking options at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The Bluebirds were magnificent in the Championship last season, but Warnock will undoubtedly need to add some proven Premier League pedigree to his squad before the new season kicks off next month.
And Deeney might be just the man for the job.
The Welsh outfit are plotting a £15 million swoop for the 30-year-old, according to a report from the Sun, and Warnock wants to agree a fee for the Watford man’s services in the next 24 hours.
The British tabloid claims that Cardiff will not have things all their own way in the chase for the Birmingham-born striker’s signature, however, with a whole host of clubs interested in obtaining his services.
If the Bluebirds do manage to sign him, though, for the reported fee of just £15 million, it could turn out to be a real coup for Neil Warnock’s side.
This season will be an extremely challenging one for Cardiff, and having someone like Deeney on board could make all the difference for them.
