Bournemouth are hoping to sell the striker before the transfer window closes.

Cardiff City and Aston Villa are competing for the services of Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban on transfer deadline day, according to The Express.
Grabban spent the first half of the season on loan at Sunderland, scoring 12 Championship goals, before being recalled for Bournemouth to engineer a permanent sale.

The Express understands that both Cardiff and Villa are keen on the 30-year-old, although the Midlands club are not in a financial position to put together a transfer package.
Steve Bruce’s side are hoping to strike a compromise with Bournemouth and take Grabban on an initial loan move with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season

Cardiff appear to have the advantage as they are prepared to pay now for Grabban, who has only started eight games for the Cherries since returning to the club two years ago.
However, The Express adds that the Bluebirds have been frustrated with a lack of progress in negotiations, and are also looking at Bolton Wanderers forward Gary Madine.
Only two points separate Cardiff and Villa in the Championship promotion race, and whichever club can get Grabban through the door will have a proven scorer for the run-in.
