Brendan Rodgers is reportedly poised to hand a Celtic debut to teenager Calvin Miller this evening.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic teenager Calvin Miller is in line to make his debut for the club against Partick Thistle this evening.

The Bhoys continued their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon, as goals from Leigh Griffiths and Nir Bitton handed Celtic a 2-1 win over Dundee at Celtic Park.

Celtic have remarkably dropped just two points in 16 games this season, and they’re back in league action tonight as they host Partick Thistle – just over a week since beating them 4-1 away from home.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to keep his unbeaten run going and solidify Celtic’s place at the top of the Premier League table, but he looks set to blood some young players in this evening’s game.

Rodgers told Sky Sports on Monday that some of the club’s top young talents could feature against Partick Thistle, and a report has now named one player in line for an appearance.

The Scottish Sun report that 18-year-old talent Calvin Miller is set to play tonight, though it’s not clear whether he’ll be starting the game or coming on as a substitute.

Miller, a Scotland Under-19 international, is a forward by trade, but the report claims that Rodgers plans to change his position and use him as a left back, in what would be a surprise move from the Bhoys boss.

Other young players like Anthony Ralston and Jack Aitchison will be looking to feature, but for now, the attention is on Miller, after he trained with the Celtic first team on Monday ahead of tonight’s game.
