Rangers are reportedly closing in on Pedro Caixinha.

According to Sky Sports, Pedro Caixinha is preparing to fly to Glasgow to tie up a deal with Rangers, and will head over once he has his move rubber-stamped by Al-Gharafa’s president.
The Gers have locked in on Caixinha as their top managerial target over the last week, as they look to replace Mark Warburton almost a month on from his departure.
Fans initially looked towards former Rangers men such as Alex McLeish, Frank De Boer, Derek McInnes and even Barry Ferguson, but the Gers have settled on a manager that few Gers supporters will know.
Al-Gharafa boss Pedro Caixinha has surprisingly emerged as Rangers’ top target, and held talks with the club at the end of last month over taking the job at Ibrox.
A former Celtic scout, Portuguese boss Caixinha has managed Uniao Leiria, Nacional and Santos Laguna before taking the Al-Gharafa job, where he coaches ex-Rangers winger Vladimir Weiss.
Now 46, Caixinha has been the hot favourite for the Rangers job over the last week, and Sky Sports now claim that he is waiting to fly out to Glasgow to complete his move, once the president of Al-Gharafa rubber-stamps the deal.

It’s stated that there are still a couple of details that need to be worked on by the two clubs, but Caixinha is now drawing ever closer to becoming the new Rangers manager – possibly ahead of Sunday’s clash with Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Should the move go through, Caixinha will become just the third non-Scottish manager to take charge of Rangers, following on from Warburton, Paul Le Guen and Dick Advocaat – but fans will be hoping he’s more Advocaat than Le Guen.
