Saivet could be allowed to leave Newcastle on loan again.

Turkish outlet Olay claim SuperLig side Bursaspor are in talks to sign Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet this summer, as he continues to be deemed surplus to requirements at St. James’ Park.

Saivet, 27, was loaned out to Sivasspor in January after falling down the pecking order behind the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Mo Diame, Mikel Merino and Isaac Hayden.

Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is seen during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Chelsea at St. James Park on May 13, 2018 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

He impressed with the Turkish club, making 12 appearances alongside the likes of Robinho and Arouna Kone and could now return to the top tier of Turkish football with Bursaspor.

What makes a move much more likely to go through is that Bursaspor’s newly-appointed manager, Samet Aybaba, was Sivasspor’s director of football and indeed orchestrated a move to sign Saivet from Newcastle in January.

Samet Aybaba, coach of Besiktas JK looks on during the Turkish Super League match between Kayserispor and Besiktas JK held on May 19, 2013 at the Kadir Has Stadium in Kayseri, Turkey.

Now, Aybaba is looking to set up a reunion at Bursaspor, who boast players such as former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder John Bostock and 50-time Senegal international Moussa Sow.

It remains to be seen if a permanent clause is included in a deal to land Saivet, with the former Bordeaux star still having three years to run on his contract.
