Burnley reportedly want Aaron Lennon from Everton on transfer deadline day.

It has been reported that the Clarets had asked to take Lennon on loan, but Everton want the former Tottenham Hotspur winger to remain at Goodison Park.
“Burnley have asked to take Aaron Lennon on loan but the former England international has been asked to stay by Everton,” states the report in The Daily Mail (Transfer blog, 10:57am, August 31, 2017).

Lennon joined Everton from Tottenham in the summer of 2015 following a loan spell at Goodison Park during the second half of the 2014-15 campaign.
According to The Mirror, the Toffees had to pay Spurs a transfer fee of around £4 million in order to secure the services of the 30-year-old former Leeds United star.

The England international winger has struggled to play regularly for Everton, and he would be a squad player at Goodison Park this season.
It would make sense for Lennon to leave Everton and join Burnley on loan as he would get more playing time at Turf Moor.
However, Everton will want the winger to remain at Goodison Park, as he provides valuable cover and experience.
