Burnley are reportedly willing to offer West Bromwich Albion one of their strikers as part of the deal for Jay Rodriguez.

Rodriguez was one of the Baggies players who arguably impressed during what was undoubtedly a disappointing campaign for the club. He finished the season with seven Premier League goals, and it appears that there is interest in offering him the chance to remain in the top flight next season.

The Mirror reports that Burnley are keen on bringing the 28-year-old back to the Clarets, but had previously been put off by West Brom’s £18 million asking price and it seems that talks broke down.

The Daily Mail reported on their transfer blog earlier this month (16/06; 13:16) that Wells was a player that West Brom want in their ranks, so perhaps Burnley’s potential offer could be something that tempts Moore into considering letting Rodriguez go.
Wells boasts a decent record at Championship level, so perhaps if Burnley’s offer also includes a decent fee, it may make some sense for the Baggies to cash in on Rodriguez as they may have other concerns to address before the Championship season starts.
