Burnley are reportedly keen on signing the Stoke City hitman.

According to a report from the Sun, Burnley are plotting a £500,000 bid for Stoke City striker Peter Crouch, as Sean Dyvhe looks to add more firepower to his attacking options at Turf Moor.
Crouch, 37, joined the Potters from Tottenham in the summer of 2011, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £10 million, and he has since gone on to become a real fan favourite at the BET 365 Stadium, scoring 60 goals in the process.
Despite his age, the former Spurs and Liverpool striker still has a lot to offer at the very highest level, and his extensive experience would surely prove to be a huge asset for Burnley this season.

Crouch would act as a fantastic focal point for the Clarets to build their attacks through, and he would provide stiff competition for Chris Wood – something that the New Zealand hitman didn’t have last season.
In today’s day and age, £500k for a striker with Crouch’s quality would surely have to be considered as a massive coup for Burnley, and if the 6ft 7in hitman does arrive at Turf Moor this summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Sean Dyche’s side.
