Burnley are reportedly keen on signing the Middlesbrough centre-back.

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Burnley have made a £12 million bid for Middlesbrough centre-back Ben Gibson, as Sean Dyche looks to bolster his defensive ranks at Turf Moor.
Gibson, 25, began his career with Boro, and has gone on to make 203 appearances in all competitions for the Teesside outfit.
He has really impressed over the past two years, drawing attention from a whole host of Premier League clubs, including Burnley, who have made a £12 million offer for his services, according to a report from Sky Sports news.
The Clarets are already a sound defensive unit, but bringing in further reinforcements will only strengthen them ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
And Gibson would undoubtedly be a huge asset for the Lancashire outfit, if Dyche manages to bring him to Turf Moor.

The Middlesbrough ace is strong in the air, quick along the ground, and is a wonderful reader of the game – three qualities that make him a fantastic all-round defender.
And in today’s day and age, £12 million would represent excellent value for money for Burnley, although it remains unclear as to whether Boro will accept the Clarets’ bid for the centre-back.
