Burnley have been impressed by Kilmarnock’s Jordan Jones, who recently made his debut for Northern Ireland.
Jones has been catching the eye this season for the Scottish Premiership side, scoring twice for Killie. That form has seen him called up to the Northern Ireland senior squad in recent times, making his debut in the second-leg of Michael O’Neill’s side’s World Cup qualifying play-off tie with Switzerland during the most recent break.
His performances have seen him come onto the radar of a couple of English sides. The Mail reports that both Burnley and Norwich are both keen on the 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at Middlesbrough before being released at the Riverside Stadium in 2016.
While the Championship move may be tempting for Jones given that it would probably benefit his chances of enjoying first-team football normally, a switch to Turf Moor must surely appeal to the tricky winger.
Sean Dyche has shown a lot of faith in players who are not proven at the top level of English football before they arrive at the Clarets, and has often taken them to another level.
Jones appears to be a very raw talent right now, but clearly boasts plenty of potential, so it may not be a surprise if Dyche and Canaries boss Daniel Farke are not the only managers keen on his signature by the time the January window opens.
