Burnley are interested in signing Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson this summer, according to reports.
According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Burnley are taking an interest in Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson as the Clarets continue their preparations for their second consecutive season in the Premier League.
Sean Dyche’s men surprised many with how well they did last term, but they will surely be wary of the infamous second season syndrome that seems to have cost many teams down the years.

And it appears that in an attempt to avoid it, they may be considering targeting players with plenty of Premier League experience, with the Mirror reporting that Jenkinson is on their radar.
Though the 25-year-old has generally struggled to break into the Arsenal first-team since his arrival from Charlton in 2011, he does boast plenty of knowledge of playing in the top flight – having made 52 Premier League appearances across two loan spells at West Ham, as well as the 38 league games he has played for the Gunners over the years.
If Burnley did decide to confirm their interest with some kind of bid, and Arsenal accept whatever offer is made, then it would arguably leave Dyche with an important decision to make.
Matt Lowton played well at right-back throughout last season, but Jenkinson’s arrival would leave his place in the side in some doubt, especially with left-back Charlie Taylor arriving during this summer.
