The former Hull City loanee could return to England with Burnley or Watford.
The Clarets sold Michael Keane to Everton earlier in the window, but have yet to replace the England international. And Ranocchia could be a good option to fill the void left by Keane, having impressed during a half-season loan to Hull City last term.

Inter are said to be seeking reinforcements in Ranocchia’s position, which would appear to render the 29-year-old surplus to requirements once more. And, after allegedly turning down the chance to sign for Genoa, a return to England is possible for the player.
Nevertheless, the prospect of a reunion with Silva at Watford could yet scupper Burnley’s chances, little more than a week since the Hornets prised last season’s top scorer, Andre Gray, away from Turf Moor.
However, that £18 million deal, in addition to Keane’s £30 million departure, suggests Burnley would not be short of cash should a deal for Ranocchia come down to finances.
