Burnley have set their sights on signing Vitesse Arnhem’s Eredivisie talisman Bryan Linssen on a free transfer this summer, according to Voetbal International.
It is about time one of the most consistent and reliable forwards in Dutch football was spotted by Premier League scouts.
Linssen has been a star performer in the Netherlands for years now. In fact, he has hit double figures in each of the last four Eredivisie seasons, producing 14 goals and seven assists for Vitesse during the curtailed 2019/20 campaign.
But with his contract expiring in July, it seems that Linssen has played his final game in the yellow and black of Vitesse.

The 29-year-old has been offered a two-year deal by Feyenoord and has a £45,000-a-week deal on the table from a club in Dubai. But Burnley too are interested in landing Linssen on what could be one of the bargains of the summer.
Premier League clubs will not be splashing the cash as usual in the months ahead so players like Linssen, with their contracts running down, will surely have plenty of suitors on English soil.
For now, however, it is Burnley who are leading the chase for a dynamic winger with an eye for goal and the leap of a salmon.
