Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is keen to snap up George Boyd.

According to a report in the Burnley Express, George Boyd still has a contract offer on the table from Burnley.
Aston Villa have been heavily linked with the winger, with his future at Turf Moor is considerably doubt.
Boyd’s current deal at Burnley expires at the start of next month, and Steve Bruce is keen to bring him to Villa Park.

However, Burnley boss Sean Dyche would like Boyd to stick around at his side.
Burnley are only thought to have offered Boyd a one-year deal, and the experienced midfielder is thought to want a longer-term offer.

The Clarets are not prepared to oblige this wish, but Villa may be with Bruce keen on a reunion.
Villa boss Bruce worked with Boyd at Hull City earlier in their respective careers, and is known to be a big fan of the Scotland international.
