The Arsenal defender is a reported transfer target for Burnley this summer.
According to a report from the Sun, the Gunners are prepared to sell Rob Holding to the Clarets in the summer, but for no less than £15 million.
Arsenal signed the 22-year-old from Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be in the region of just £2.5 million, according to the Daily Mail, but he has found first-team football hard to come by at the Emirates.
Holding has showcased his undoubted potential when given the opportunity, however, and has played in some really high profile matches, including last season’s FA Cup final.
Despite his tender years, the former Bolton man plays with a certain kind of maturity, and his experience of playing in the lower leagues with the Trotters has helped him develop into a combative centre-half – one who is easily capable of dealing with the rigours of the Premier League.
Sean Dyche has a wonderful reputation for organising his defence at Turf Moor, and if Holding made the switch to Lancashire, he would surely slot seamlessly into Burnley’s back-line.
