Boca Juniors ace Cristian Pavon appears to be heading to the Premier League.

Cristian Pavon of Argentina looks on during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Round of 16 match between France and Argentina at Kazan Arena on June 30, 2018 in Kazan, Russia.

According to TNT Sports in Argentina, Boca Juniors sporting director Nicolas Burdisso is set for a trip to England to sell star winger Cristian Pavon to a Premier League club.

Boca lost the Copa Libertadores final to bitter rivals River Plate in December, and are now looking to rebound with some success in 2019.

However, that may involve selling winger Pavon, who has flourished with Boca since joining from Talleres de Cordoba in 2014.

The speedy wide man played for Argentina at the World Cup last summer, and has racked up 27 goals and 31 assists in 102 games for Boca.

Those stats have unsurprisingly attracted interest, and TNT Sports claim that Boca chief Burdisso has set up a meeting in England with a mystery Premier League club, to sell Pavon.

A $25million (£22.7m) fee is allegedly being discussed, and whilst the identity of the club in question isn’t revealed, a fair guess would be Arsenal.

Just days ago, Football.London noted that Arsenal still admire Pavon, and would be interested in signing the right winger this summer.

His pace and consistent end product would be a welcome addition to Unai Emery’s side, whilst offering balance as the natural right-sided wide man that the Gunners somewhat lack.
