Sunderland boss Jack Ross has reportedly told Bryan Oviedo he was free to leave the Stadium of Light earlier this summer.

However, Sunderland never received an acceptable bid for the Costa Rican, and his showing on opening day was highly impressive.
Jack Ross brought Oviedo on against Charlton Athletic, and the left-back put in a standout display for the Black Cats.
The Chronicle suggest that Sunderland are now in no rush to sell Oviedo and he could well stick around.

Oviedo is said to be keen to move on, but Sunderland are in no rush to sell him anymore, after his starring role in their victory at the weekend.
Sunderland are now sitting back and waiting for offers and although a big bid would force them into selling, Ross is now seemingly happy to keep Oviedo around for the season.
