Newcastle United are reportedly keen on Tottenham’s Danny Rose.
According to the Daily Star, Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce wants to launch a shock move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose.
The Magpies need to get spending quickly after a dismal summer so far, and a move for Hoffenheim striker Joelinton would be a great start.
Bruce may want another left back though, and it’s claimed that he would love to land a player of Rose’s quality in that position.
Rose is set to leave Spurs having been left behind from their tour to Asia, and Bruce is allegedly willing to offer £15million to get a deal done.
That may be enough to tempt Spurs into selling, but whether Rose himself would be interested in a move to Newcastle is another matter.
Sky Sports claim that Paris Saint-Germain want him, and a move to play in a star-studded, title-winning Champions League side earning huge money in one of the greatest cities in the world may be hugely appealing.
Newcastle would at least be able to keep him in the Premier League, and offer him a move back up north, which the Doncaster-born left back has been wanting for some time.
Newcastle do have Paul Dummett, but landing a player like Rose would be a major coup, and Bruce may now have to try and convince Mike Ashley to part with big cash for him, which may be a struggle given his limited resale value.
