According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United are keen to sign Bournemouth attacker Josh King this summer.
It’s claimed that the Magpies have picked out King as a potential striker addition this summer as Steve Bruce desperately seeks goals.
King is likely to make a decision over his future inside the next two weeks, as he is currently on holiday following the end of the season.
The 28-year-old is valued at £20million, which could be a problem for Newcastle given that their entire summer budget is around £30million.
The report claims that Bruce signed King for Hull, but that isn’t actually the case; King joined Hull in January 2012, and Bruce only became Tigers boss months later.
Still, the Norwegian attacker has impressed at Bournemouth, bagging 50 goals in 167 games for the Cherries since his 2015 arrival.

What’s particularly interesting is that King has previously admitted his love for St James’ Park, with The Chronicle quoting him in November 2019 as saying that it’s one of his favourite places to play.
A move to Tyneside may therefore appeal to King, and Bruce will now hope to find the funds to bring him to Newcastle.
