Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce is said to be a big fan of youngster Tom Allan, by the Northern Echo.
Allan has just left Newcastle to join Accrington Stanley on a season-long loan, but Bruce will have close eyes on the forward’s progress.
The Magpies boss is said to rate Allan highly, after handing the prospect his debut in January.
Allan has scored prolifically at youth level for Newcastle, and there are hopes that he could go on and be a potent scorer in the Premier League.
Allan is still only 20, so has plenty of time to develop, but if he does impress out on loan at Accrington then he will surely make Newcastle sit up and take notice.

Bruce’s side desperately lacked a goalscorer last season, with Jonjo Shelvey ultimately finishing as the club’s top scorer.
And if Allan can make an impact at League One level, then he may well force his way into Bruce’s plans for next term.
