According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has now directly asked to be kept informed about the future of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
It’s claimed that Newcastle want to bring Arsenal loanee Joe Willock back for next season, but Bruce also wants to add striker Abraham.
Newcastle are viewed as a potential escape route by sources close to Abraham, with Bruce now asking Chelsea to be kept in the loop over his future.
Abraham has barely featured since Thomas Tuchel became Chelsea boss, and looks set to leave the Blues at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has hit 12 goals in all competitions this season, but Tuchel has seemingly decided that he isn’t going to be in his Chelsea plans moving forward.
The Telegraph claim that Chelsea want around £40million for Abraham, and whilst Newcastle forked out a similar fee for Joelinton, it’s hard to see them doing it for Abraham.

One thing in Bruce’s favour is that he has worked with Abraham before, bringing him to Aston Villa on loan during the 2018-19 season.
Newcastle’s best hope may be a loan deal for Abraham, but fans would surely be excited by the prospect of Abraham playing up top with Callum Wilson at St James’ Park.
