Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Fulham star Tom Cairney.
According to The Mirror, Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is keen to raid Fulham for star midfielder Tom Cairney – three years since selling him at Hull City.
Villa made their first signing of the January transfer window by landing Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan until the end of the season, but manager Bruce needs more new additions.

Villa lie seven points adrift of the Championship play-off places, and Bruce will be looking for new faces in a bid to break into the top six come May.
Now, The Mirror report that Bruce is eyeing a reunion with Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney – despite selling him at former club Hull City back in January 2014.

Cairney, 25, came up through the ranks at the KCOM Stadium after leaving Leeds United in 2007, and scored five goals in 80 games for Hull before being sold to Blackburn Rovers.
Now starring with Fulham following a move to Craven Cottage in the summer of 2015, Cairney hit eight goals in 42 games last term, whilst he’s also notched five goals and three assists in all competitions this term.
The Scottish ace is now attracting major interest, and after The Chronicle reported that Newcastle United are keen to land Cairney during this month’s transfer window, Villa have now seemingly joined the race.
Whilst it’s stated that Fulham could sell Cairney for £10million this month, The Times’ George Culkin claimed on Twitter earlier this week that Fulham actually want £20million, and whilst he has the quality in midfield that Villa are looking for, that would be a huge fee to pay for Cairney.
