According to the Daily Mail, Steve Bruce hasn’t been happy with Allan Saint-Maximin’s form since he signed a new contract at Newcastle over a month ago.
On October 14th, the Daily Mail revealed that the Frenchman had signed a new deal which placed him in line with the Magpies’ top earners on £70,000-a-week.
However, in their exclusive report revealing that the former OGC Nice winger would miss tonight’s game against Crystal Palace, the Daily Mail also stated that Bruce planned to drop the attacker regardless.
Saint-Maximin picked up a muscle injury during training this week.
The Daily Mail say that those at Newcastle feel the 23-year-old’s performances have dipped since he penned his new six-year contract.

The Newcastle No.10 is arguably one of the most exciting players in the Premier League, and his abilities are vital to the Magpies.
However, there’s no denying that his form has tailed off since he signed a new deal.
Since signing the contract on October 14th, Saint-Maximin has failed to score or assist a goal in five Premier League outings as WhoScored shows.

Newcastle have won just one of those five fixtures, while losing three.
That isn’t solely down to the Frenchman, although we all know he’s capable of much more.
