Lee Johnson is still keen to add to his squad before the January transfer window closes tomorrow.
Bristol City manager Lee Johnson is looking to bring in up to four players by the end of the January transfer window, as the Robins manager looks to strengthen his squad in order to fight off a drop into the relegation zone.
Since the turn of the year, Bristol City’s form has tailed off dramatically, with the club falling from the play-off places towards the bottom of the Championship. Desperately in need of reinforcements, and cover for the Robins’ extensive injury list, it’s no surprise to see Lee Johnson trying to bring in a good number of players before the window closes tomorrow evening.
Speaking to Bristol City’s official site, Lee Johnson suggested he is looking to make two additions to his senior squad, plus another two new arrivals for the development group. This would take the club’s transfer window tally to eight, following the arrival of Jens Hegeler, Milan Djuric, Bailey Wright and Fabian Giefer.

Johnson also confirmed there could be more outgoings, with Luke Freeman’s future set to be decided shortly. The midfielder is set to move to QPR, according to HITC Sport.
Speaking to the Bristol City Player, Johnson said: “I certainly think it’s going to busy between now and the window closing and we hope to do four deals. Two would be for the first team now.
“The other two would strengthen our underbelly, the development squad. We’re consistent in believing it’s important to build a sustainable future for the club.”
On Freeman, Johnson said: “I’m sure that will sort itself out before the window closes, one way or another.”
With not much time left on the clock, it looks like it’s going to be a very exciting couple of days for Bristol City fans…
