Bristol City are weighing up a £2m offer for Derby’s Andreas Weimann to replace Bobby Reid.

After the sale of topscorer Bobby Reid to recently promoted Premier League side Cardiff City, the Robins are looking for recruitment in attack.

They have recently spent £2m on signing Adam Webster from Ipswich Town – to replace Aden Flint following his £7m switch to Middlesbrough – and are willing to pay the same amount for Weimann.

New Rams manager Frank Lampard has been tasked with reducing the wage bill at Pride Park and selling the Austria international as he enters the final year of his current contract with the club could be appealing.

Matej Vydra is another who has been strongly linked, with an exit with Leeds United seemingly the most likely destination in an £11m deal and Lampard would look to soften the blow of losing Vydra and Weimann by landing Jack Marriott from Peterborough United.
The 26-year-old has been with Derby for three years after a move from Aston Villa in 2015 and can play on either wing or as a number nine.
