Joshua King is keen to be at Everton next season, despite failing to break into their first-team yet, the Athletic report.
King joined Everton on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window, but he has done little of note in a blue shirt so far.
King has been consigned to cameo roles off the bench, with Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin keeping him out of the team.
The Norwegian, who was previously described as ‘brilliant’ by Jermain Defoe (Tribal Football), has apparently still enjoyed his time at Everton though, and his relationship with Carlo Ancelotti is said to remain strong.
The Athletic suggest that King has actually impressed behind the scenes and he has been unfortunate not to have started more, such has been the quality of his performances in training.
King is now apparently wanting to prove that he is worth offering a new deal to between now and the end of the season.

The 29-year-old is out of contract in the summer, meaning that he will be available on a free transfer.
It remains to be seen whether Everton will push ahead and land him on a longer basis, but he could still be a useful option.
King is proven at Premier League level and has the qualities to hurt defences.
While he is yet to really show what he can do in an Everton shirt, he has not kicked up a fuss about being on the bench, and he could be a good squad player for Ancelotti’s side for the years ahead.
