Tottenham Hotspur target Joe Rodon has made it clear that he wants to play Premier League football as soon as possible to Swansea City, the Daily Mail say.
Rodon has emerged as Tottenham’s first choice defensive target, as Jose Mourinho seeks one more addition before the domestic transfer deadline.
Rodon, who was hailed as ‘brilliant’ by Swansea boss Steve Cooper (Wales Online), has caught the eye at Championship level, and Spurs seem to think that the Welsh international is ready to make the step up to play in the top flight.
Tottenham are some way off agreeing a fee with Swansea as it stands, but if they are able to, then sorting out personal terms for the central defender shouldn’t be too difficult.

That is because Rodon has apparently already told Swansea that he is keen to move on, as he is eager to play Premier League football.
If Rodon was to join Spurs he would immediately be placed in competition with the likes of Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez for a first-team spot.
But with Jose Mourinho not appearing completely set upon his first choice centre-back pairing, he may have a chance to break into Spurs’s starting line-up.
Tottenham have been linked with a whole host of central defenders over the summer, and Rodon isn’t quite at the same level of experience of some of the other players who have been reported as targets.
But, given his excellent displays at the age of 22, he could yet develop into a star of the future, and Spurs may feel that they are showing great foresight by attempting to bring him in now.
