Pierre Emerick Aubameyang does not want to leave Arsenal, the Guardian report.

Aubameyang penned a new contract at Arsenal last year, but the North London club are now unlikely to have European football on offer.

Aubameyang may not have had his finest season at the Emirates Stadium this time around.

However, the striker remains one of the highest profile strikers in the Premier League – and surely could have commanded interest from some Champions League clubs, if he was made available.

However, the Arsenal forward apparently has no desire to leave the Gunners.

That may partly be down to the fact that he is now on a sizeable contract, which he would be unlikely to match elsewhere. Or it could be down to loyalty, with Aubameyang now clearly settled at Arsenal after years at the club.

The report claiming that Aubameyang wants to stay still has to be considered good news.

He may not have shown his top form this term, but he still has to be considered Arsenal’s biggest goal threat, with Ray Parlour calling him ‘brilliant’ (TalkSPORT).

And he will surely be a big part of Mikel Arteta’s plans for next season, despite his plans to make additions in the summer.
