Adam Forshaw, who impressed for Middlesbrough last season, is reportedly a target for Brighton and Hove Albion.
Brighton have made relatively slow progress in the transfer window, with many key deals expected to drag on until the end of August, but two of their signings so far have been central midfielders – like Forshaw.

However, the former Wigan Athletic man offers a significant upgrade on the likes of Steve Sidwell and Dale Stephens, who starred in Brighton’s promotion push.
And Forshaw proved last season, in a struggling Boro team, that he has the quality to play in the Premier League.
Chris Hughton’s side will surely need to add more firepower before the end of the window, but Forshaw would represent a big move to improve a previously weak position.
The report suggests there is still work to be done on any deal to take Forshaw to Brighton, however, with Boro demanding more than the £2million they paid in 2015.
It is also suggested that Garry Monk could yet look to use the midfielder, despite having alternative options in Adam Clayton, Marten de Roon, Grant Leadbitter and new boy Jonny Howson.
