Everton and Liverpool are also said keen on the Charlton Athletic talent.

Brighton & Hove Albion are ‘set to sign’ Charlton Athletic defender Ezri Konsa in an £8 million deal, according to the Sun. The report comes just days after the Daily Mirror claimed Everton were ‘in pole position’ to land Konsa, ahead of rivals Liverpool, for £3 million less.
According to the Sun, however, Brighton have entered the running and hope to conclude a deal before the weekend.
The report claims Konsa will join the Seagulls as cover for Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy – an ex-Everton trainee – and follows a failed approach for Bristol City’s Aden Flint, according to Sky Sports.

Two of Konsa’s former Charlton colleagues have fled to Merseyside in recent campaigns, with fellow defender Joe Gomez now a Liverpool player and winger Ademola Lookman at Everton.

According to the Sun, however, the Londoner is bound for Brighton, whose manager Chris Hughton is ‘keen to bring in young players with plenty of potential’ to protect their long-term future in the event they are relegated back to the Championship.
Would Konsa’s signing be a coup for Brighton, given Everton and Liverpool’s alleged interest?
