The West Ham United defender is reportedly being eyed by Brighton & Hove Albion boss, Chris Hughton.

Brighton & Hove Albion are preparing a £2 million offer for West Ham United defender James Collins, according to the Sun.
Collins is out of contract at the London Stadium in June, which means West Ham face losing him for nothing if they cannot agree fresh terms before then.

The Welshman has only played four times since David Moyes’ appointment as Hammers boss last November, and is said to have been targeted by Brighton boss Chris Hughton as he looks to add Premier League experience to his defence.
Collins is one of seven centre-backs currently in West Ham’s first team, alongside Reece Burke, Jose Fonte, Angelo Ogbonna, Reece Oxford, Winston Reid and Declan Rice.

However, the Irons have been strongly linked with a move for Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson, who also plays in the septet’s position.
And landing Mawson would almost certainly boost Brighton’s chances of doing a deal for Collins, who has also played for Aston Villa and Cardiff City.
Should West Ham cash in on Collins with Brighton said keen?
