According to the Daily Star, Brighton and Hove Albion have made an approach to sign Tottenham Hotspur talent Ryan Sessegnon on loan.
It’s claimed that Brighton want to secure a loan signing before the transfer deadline, with Graham Potter keen to add more pace to his side.
Contact has been made with Spurs about a potential move for Sessegnon, who hasn’t made a Premier League appearance for Tottenham this season.
Southampton want the 20-year-old too, but Brighton is a more likely destinaton because of the first-team prospects on offer there.
Spurs have very strict terms though, as they want a loan fee paid and Sessegnon’s wages paid in full, whilst there won’t be an option to buy in the deal.
Signed for £25million from Fulham in 2019, Sessegnon’s Tottenham career hasn’t really got going yet, and he needs first-team action to prevent stagnating.

A move to Brighton could be ideal, as he would be able to play as a left-wing back in Graham Potter’s 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 systems, meaning he can utilise his attacking ability and learn as a defender too.
Solly March would be his main competition, but forming a wing-back duo with Tariq Lamptey could be hugely dangerous for Brighton, and a move could make sense for all parties.
