According to The Mirror, Brighton and Hove Albion have made a £1million bid to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Jackson Irvine.
The Seagulls have already landed goalkeeper Mat Ryan and midfielder Pascal Gross this summer, but manager Chris Hughton will be looking for more new additions

Despite landing Gross, as well as having the likes of Dale Stephens, Beram Kayal, Oliver Norwood and Steve Sidwell, Hughton is being linked with a move for yet another central midfielder.
The Mirror report that Brighton want to sign Burton Albion star Jackson Irvine, and have already submitted a bid of £1million to land Australian international.
Irvine, 24, struggled to break through with Celtic before joining Ross County permanently in 2015, and a strong season there saw him sign for Burton Albion last summer.
Under Nigel Clough’s tutelage, Irvine enjoyed a superb season, smashing ten goals in 42 Championship appearances last term as he became one of the division’s most dangerous goalscoring midfielders.

Brighton now want him to reunite with Australian international team-mate Ryan at the Amex Stadium, but it seems unlikely that Burton would accept £1million for him right now.
Irvine’s outstanding season with the Brewers means that Brighton may have to pay much more than £1million to sign the midfielder, and rumours of their bid may just alert other clubs to a potential move.
