Jurgen Locadia could leave PSV on deadline day with both Wolves and Brighton keen.
PSV Eindhoven have been forced to get used to losing their key players on an almost annual basis.
Memphis Depay and Gini Wijnaldum both departed for big money after inspiring PSV to the title in 2015 while Luciano Narsingh and Davy Propper have also swapped the Eredivisie for the Premier League since the turn of the year, rocking up at Swansea City and Brighton respectively.
And speculation is growing that Jurgen Locadia could be the latest PSV talent to make the move to England. The Mirror (live blog, 00.23am) claim that ambitious Championship contenders Wolves are hoping of pulling off a £10 million deal for the 23-year-old.
And The Mirror (11.15) report that Premier League newcomers Brighton and Hove Albion could muscle in on the deal with top target Oumar Niasse likely to leave Everton for Crystal Palace instead. Palace are reported to have offered up to £10 million, whereas Brighton were only willing to take Niasse on loan.
Both clubs are certainly in need of attacking reinforcements. Wolves sold Nouha Dicko (below) to Championship rivals Hull City this week, leaving Leo Bonatini as their only senior centre-forward.
And Brighton are crying out for a goalscorer to smooth the transition from Championship to the Premier League, having failed to score a single goal in either of their first three fixtures back in the top flight.
Locadia, however, is far from a prolific attacker. Since exploding onto the scene with 17 goals in 43 games in 2013/14, the 23-year-old has failed to live up to early expectations. In an injury hit 2016/17 season, Locadia struck just three times in 15 appearances.
Yet, if he can stay injury free and rediscover that early potential, Wolves or Brighton could have a potential star on their hands.
