West Ham have already made one offer of £10 million for Hogan, but the Bees have turned down the bid.
Brentford want £15 million for Hogan, and it remains to be seen whether West Ham will meet their asking price.
The 24-year-old is reportedly hoping that the Hammers will make an improved bid, as he wishes to switch to the London Stadium.
West Ham are keen to add a striker in January, as Slaven Bilic wants to improve his attacking options.
Bilic’s men have struggled to find a potent front man this season, with a number of players being tested up top.
Hogan has scored prolifically at Brentford this term, and is a key part of Dean Smith’s plans.
The former Rochdale man has found the back of the net 14 times in 26 matches for Brenford so far this season.
