Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side are said to want Said Benrahma from Brentford this summer.

Villa have already made one bid for the 23-year-old wide-man, and they are keen to bring him to Villa Park.
However, Brentford don’t want to sell Benrahma and have rejected Villa’s initial offer.
The Championship cub have also told Dean Smith’s side to only come back if they are prepared to make a huge offer for their star man.
Benrahma could be an exciting addition to Villa’s attack, as his willingness to run at defenders has made him a major threat in the Championship.

Smith’s side do have money to spend, but paying big money for Benrahma would be a risk.
The Algerian is totally unproven in the Premier League, and would be making a step up if he was to move to Villa.
Whether the claret and blues will return with a second bid or look at other targets now remains to be seen.
