According to Bild, Brentford are on the verge of signing RB Leipzig talent Mads Bidstrup on a permanent deal.
It’s claimed that Bidstrup is about to complete his move to West London, with the deal expected to be done in the next few days.
Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche has admitted that it looks like Bidstrup will be moving on, and it seems that Brentford have won the race.
The 19-year-old joined Leipzig from Copenhagen two years ago for around €2million (£1.8million), and arrived with ‘a lot of fuss’.
However, Bidstrup has failed to make a senior appearance for Leipzig. He has thought managed six goals in 36 games for Leipzig’s Under-19’s.
Primarily a central midfielder, Bidstrup will now hope to receive more first-team chances at Brentford – and he joins a strong Scandinavian contingent.

Brentford have a Danish boss in Thomas Frank, whilst Christian Norgaard, Mathias Jensen, Emiliano Marcondes, Henrik Dalsgaard, Mads bech, Luca Racic, Mads Roerslev and Gustav Mogensen are other Danes at the club.
That should be appealing to Bidstrup, and the chance to develop at an ambitious club challenging for promotion to the Premier League makes the move exciting for him as much as it is for Bees fans.
