First-team coach John Kennedy will reportedly remain at Celtic next season.
Newly-appointed Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has retained the services of John Kennedy, according to The Scottish Sun.
It has been reported that Kennedy will remain as the first-team coach at Celtic during the 2016-17 campaign.
Rodgers has reportedly met with the former Celtic defender and has decided to keep him as part of his backroom staff.
The former Scotland international centre-back worked for Neil Lennon and for Ronny Deila at Celtic, and it seems that he will remain part of the Bhoys’ unit next season as well.
Chris Davies will be Deila’s assistant manager at Celtic, while Glen Driscoll will be the head of performance at Celtic Park.
Exciting season ahead
Rodgers is a brilliant coach and a very good manager, and Celtic fans should be excited about next season. The former Liverpool and Swansea City boss will be under pressure, though.
The Bhoys have not progressed to the group stage of the Champions League for the past two seasons.
Moreover, Old Firm rivals Rangers are back in the Scottish top flight and the Gers will be aiming to compete for the Scottish Premiership title during the 2016-17 campaign.
