He is keen to keep improving though and adding competition for left back Paul Dummett is one of his aims.
That has led to him targeting a move for Everton left back Brendan Galloway, with the Chronicle reporting last week that they were willing to pay £1 million to take him on loan for the season.

However, they faced competition for his services as Premier League side Middlesbrough had also joined the race for his signature according to the Mirror.
Luckily for the Magpies though, the Chronicle is now reporting that Galloway will ignore the interest from Aitor Karanka’s side and is keen to make the move to St James’ Park.
The newspaper reports that they are hopeful of getting a deal to make him their ninth signing of the summer completed by the end of the week.
